Compare Files ("the Service") is a browser-based tool that lets you compare text, images, spreadsheets, documents, and structured data. All file processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never transmitted to any server, stored anywhere, or seen by anyone other than you.
Text comparison is always free with no account required. Access to all other comparators (images, spreadsheets, documents, JSON/YAML) requires a one-time payment. Once purchased, you have lifetime access to all paid comparators and all future updates.
Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. We do not store or handle your payment card information.
If you are unsatisfied within 14 days of purchase, contact us at support@comparefiles.app for a full refund, no questions asked.
You may use the Service for personal or commercial purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service itself.
Because all file processing is performed in your browser, we have no technical ability to access, view, copy, or transmit your files. This is not a policy choice — it is an architectural fact. There is no server receiving your file data.
The Service is a static web application hosted on Cloudflare. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access but will make reasonable efforts to maintain availability. Because the core functionality runs in your browser, the only dependency is that the page loads.
The Service is provided "as is." We are not liable for any data loss, business loss, or damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
